The theological significance of having a Heavenly Father is very real for me. My earthly father emigrated to the United States when I was three years old. I now know that can be a very mixed blessing at best. I knew he always loved and cared for me although he was never always present for me. Thankfully, I learned early in life about the God of Heaven who assures me of His Continuous presence in my life each and every day. I lost my earthly father ten years ago, but each and every day I can still have a conversation with my Heavenly Father with the full assurance that He hears and cares.
